Practical Completion Certificate & Building Warranties
As part of the Services being provided to a Client, you may be asked to inspect the project at various stages and certify that the works are being completed in accordance with the drawings and the planning permissions. At the end of the project, you would generally provide a ‘Certificate of Practical Completion’, which can often be in the format required by the Council of Mortgage Lenders.
However, at the outset of the project, it is important to ensure that the Client understands the nature and purpose of the Certificate and is asked to consider whether or not a Building Warranty may be more appropriate.
